Day Five - Cairo, Product Showcase & Demonstration Seminar
A demonstration today in an artisan village close to the Valley of the Kings will showcase the locally produced Egyptian Whiskey prepared in the traditional way.
Representatives from the Egyptian Tourist Authorities and Antiquities Department will demonstrate the resurgence of tourism in Egypt, the role of the authorities and the promotion and marketing of their national monuments.
Day Six - Cairo, Q&A Session
Join National Gaming Committee Chairman Phil Webster tonight in the Mena Marriott 139 Lounge Bar for an opportunity to hear about the latest on the federal and state gaming polices and political landscape in Australia.
Day Seven - Casablanca, Demonstration Seminar
A review of the Moroccan wine industry presented by our restaurant host at Ricks Cafe in Casablanca which will include Epicuria, Volubilia, Domaine de Sahari and Medallion varieties.
Day Eight - Marrakech, Product Showcase & Industry Seminar
Meet Hadj Mustapha, previously the chef to the King of Morocco and sample his famed lamb fresh from the underground cooking pits. Use bread as your only utensil in his renown streetside stall in the souq alleyways. Continue on a gourmet walking tour in the Medina with a focus on local street foods, natural produce and ancient cooking methods.
Moroccan Gastronomy Ambassador, Chef Moha will host an evening in his acclaimed restaurant Dar Moha providing an insight how he aims to ensure Moroccan cuisine will gain recognition as part of the World Cultural Heritage Program. This evening will feature an education program as we are presented with the best of Moroccan cuisine with a follow up opportunity to attend a fun interactive cooking class the following day.
Day Nine - Marrakech, Venue Site Inspections
Independently explore the Gueliz area of Marrakech and visit a selection of recommended upmarket bars and eateries which showcase the latest emerging trends of modern Moroccan hospitality. This vibrant area provides a distinct contrast to the traditions of the old town. Finish the night in one of the live music cabarets or modern dance clubs such as 555 to see how etiquette and laws around alcohol consumption are bent once away from the vicinity of the mosque.
Day Ten - Marrakech, Gaming Business Session
The Grand Casino La Mamounia will be open to our group in Marrakech to tour today with representative available to discuss the role of Gaming in Morocco, the legislation surrounding it and its impact on tourism and the economy.
Day Eleven - Lisbon, Venue Inspections
Tonight's welcome to Lisbon will be an opportunity to showcase Sky Bar at the Tivoli Hotel - one of the best and newest rooftop bars and restaurants in the city. Followed by an optional late night walking tour of the trendy Barrio Alta laneway bars and entertainment precinct.
Day Twelve - Lisbon, Product Showcase & Industry Seminar
A gastronomic tour of Lisbon tasting an array of local produce including Pateis tarts, tapas style petiscos, Iberian meats, traditional cod, sardine products, and ginja cherry liquer.
A visit to the Museu de Cerveja (Beer Museum) with its displays of ancient production methods and displays showing the role of Portugal as a leading world navigator in introducing beer across the globe. Tasting opportunities will be accompanied by an educational seminar on the beers of both Portugal and Portuguese speaking nations.
Day Thirteen - Sintra, Industry Seminar
Bar do Binho House of Port in Sintra will host a Portuguese Wine education session focusing on port as the National Product as well as the local spirit Medronho. This will be followed by a visit to the nearby forest for a demonstration of cork harvesting and insight into the future of this bottling method.
Day Fourteen - Lisbon, Product Showcase
Visit the Time Out Market in Lisbon - a food hall where the best restaurants of Lisbon chosen by a panel of experts sell samples of their best wares across over 40 stalls and bars. Combined with fresh produce stalls and live entertainment - where else in the world can you sample of the best of the best all under one roof?!
